Vaginoplasty in Turkey

Vaginoplasty in Turkey: A vulvoplasty is a surgical procedure that alters a woman’s external genitalia. Modification of the labia majora, labia minora, clitoral hood, or perineum may be required. A vaginoplasty (also known as lateral colporrhaphy) is a vaginal tightening operation. Noninvasive vaginal tightening can be achieved by heating tissues with radiofrequency waves or a laser. Patients with considerable laxity may not benefit from these treatments and may be better candidates for vaginoplasty, which is a surgical tightening procedure.

Women may experience vaginal laxity after childbirth as a result of tissues expanding and muscles separating, sometimes to the point that a tampon comes out, and this loss of tone can contribute to sexual dysfunction.

The patient’s labia minora may be large, resulting in functional issues such as recurring fungal infections, painful intercourse or dyspareunia due to skin redundancy, or pain when exercising, such as riding a bike. It may also result in a cosmetic abnormality that the patient does not enjoy. These tissues could be changed to help with the functioning concerns.

A vaginoplasty, also known as lateral colporrhaphy, is a procedure that involves bringing separated muscles and mucosa closer together, resulting in a more restricted vagina, which improves sensation during penetrative vaginal intercourse. The exterior skin at the 6 o’clock position may be removed to prevent pain during intercourse from this skin redundancy.

A vaginoplasty can be performed under local or regional anesthesia, or under general anesthesia if the patient prefers.

A local anesthetic is given and extra mucosa is removed from inside the vagina laterally once the amount of tightening to be done is determined. Strong sutures are used to tighten the muscles beneath the skin. The mucosal skin is sutured closed after the vaginal canal has been tightened. If there is any protruding external skin, it can also be decreased for a more beautiful effect.

Infection, bleeding, and pain are all possible side effects of vaginoplasty, as are rare issues like overtightening. One to two weeks of downtime is possible for patients. For the first few days, they may experience a severe discomfort, and they must refrain from using tampons or having intercourse for six to eight weeks.

The vaginal canal is usually tightened after this treatment, which can improve sexual enjoyment. Furthermore, vulvoplasty, whether it is a labia minora or majora reduction or augmentation of the labia majora with fat or a dermal fat graft, can improve the sexual experience, reduce functional issues, and improve cosmesis.
